2008 Thanksgiving Campaign

These days, the cost of everything seems to keep going up. But you can still feed and care for one hungry person for just $1.67.

This Thanksgiving season Memphis Union Mission needs the help of friends like you to serve more than 60,750 meals!

Some of the meals we serve are special, like our holiday dinners at Thanksgiving and Christmas. But whether it’s a special celebration or a nutritious meal, no one goes away hungry!

A meal is often the first contact the Mission has with people in need. Once they are fed it’s much easier to share the love of Christ with them and begin taking care of other problems like homelessness, addiction, lack of education or joblessness.

So your gift to provide meals actually opens the door to services that help people experience a new life!

The cost of helping one homeless or hungry person may be one of the few things that hasn’t gone up in the past year. No gift is too small and each donation we receive is put to work immediately.
